It's Sunday and we're sitting in the LA airport waiting for our flight to Auckland. We've had 4 days of beautiful weather and have enjoyed seeing LA. After the Getty, we spent Saturday on a tour of historic buildings in downtown LA. We then went to the Disney Music Theatre, a Frank Gehry building. Stunning and very different from the Beaux Arts and Art Deco buildings we had just seen. I also had the wonderful experience of connecting with an old college friend, whom I hadn't see in 40 years. Nancy and I had a wonderful lunch and vowed to not let the span for our next lunch be so long.
